Nigeria’s Super Eagles, preparing for the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN), who were given a two-day break to celebrate Christmas, have been told to return to their Abuja camp latest 7pm Saturday.

The Super Eagles Team B had been in training since 14 December ahead of the CHAN, which holds in Rwanda from 16 January. They were given two days break (24 and 25 December) by the technical crew to return to their Bolton White Apartments camp in Abuja by Saturday with the training resuming the following day.

Dream Team VI and FC TARABA player, Usman Mohammed said that he celebrated the Xmas with his family in Kaduna and at the latest 7pm on Saturday he should be back in the team’s camp in order not to disobey the order of the coaches who viewed indiscipline as a serious offence.

Defender, Chima Akas, revealed that he had his break in Ibadan, Oyo State to celebrate with his family members. He said the break was a good chance to mark the Yuletide outside the bustling of the camp and a refreshing opportunity before resuming for training.

While thanking the coaches for the break, he said there is no excuse for any of the players not to return to the camp on Saturday as directed by the technical crew.

The team members are expected to depart Nigeria for South Africa on 3 January for the last leg of preparations and will take on the Elephants of Ivory Coast on 9 or 10 January in Pretoria if plans by the NFF work out.

A friendly against Angola in South Africa is also on the cards as the football body looks to give the team some stern tests ahead of the 4th edition CHAN.

Nigeria is playing their first game on 18 January against the Mena of Niger at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo.
