Governor Rochas Okorocha remains the governor of Imo State.
The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the appeal filed by the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Emeka Ihedioha, for lack of merit.
Ihedioha had challenged the validity of the election of Okorocha at the 11 April governorship election.
The apex court held that the non-endorsement of address of service and the non-service as required by law rendered the appeal incompetent and liable to dismissal.
The appeal, according to the Supreme Court was lacking in merit.
