Judgment day is drawing near in the trial of suspects alleged to have murdered Facebook girl, Cynthia Osokogwu.
Justice Olabisi Akinlade of a Lagos High Court, Igbosere,Lagos State, on Monday adjourned till Nov. 16 , the trial of the suspected murderers for adoption of final written addresses, the rite before judgment day is set.
The new date by the court was as a result of the late filing of the final written addresses by the third and fourth defendants’ counsel, Mr Chris Obiaka.
However, the judge ordered that the defence counsel should file a joint written address and the prosecution should file a comprehensive written address and serve same on all.
Th four accused – Okwumo Nwabufo (34), Olisaeloka Ezike (24), Orji Osita( 33 )and Ezike Nonso (25), are charged with the murder of Cynthia Osokogwu, 25, on July 22, 2012.
The defendants had met the deceased, then a Post-Graduate student of the Nasarawa State University, on Facebook and had invited her to Cosmilla Hotel in Festac Town , Lagos State, where she was murdered
