Governor Ibikunle Amosun today submitted  three  additional commissioner nominees to be screened alongside 16 others earlier submitted to the State House of Assembly last week.

The nominees were contained in a letter from the Governor to the Speaker ,  Surajudeen Ishola Adekunbi. It was read  during today’s plenary.

The three candidates are; Mr. Rotimi Durojaye, Adebola Adeife and Mrs. Nike Osoba.

The Speaker had last week Wednesday announced the names of 16 Commissioner nominees sent to the Assembly by the governor.

The nominees earlier sent were; Mrs Ronke Sokefun, Mrs Kemi Adeosun,  who has also been nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari as a minister, Bashorun Muyiwa Oladipo, Arch. Segun Abiodun,Arch. Olamilekan Adegbite, Jide Ojuko, Sunday Segun Bamiwola,Dr. Babatunde Ipaye and Mr Bolaji Oyeleye.

Others are Leke Adewolu, Afolabi Afuwape, Gbenga Ademosun, Chief Kolawole Wasiu Lawal,Otunba Bimbo Ashiru,Mrs Yewande Amusan and Olumide Ayeni.

All the 19 nominees, according to the Speaker,will be appearing for screening tomorrow, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 10.00am prompt.

The nominees are advised to come along with 30 copies each of their Curriculum Vitae and credentials including the original.

The venue of the screening is Room 215, State House of Assembly complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

In another development, the Speaker has assured that all roads requiring rehabilitation would soon be attended to in all parts of the state.

He also called  on the Commissioner of Police to take a critical look at  multiple road blocks by police men along Ijoun- Oja Odan road which had been affecting socio-economic lives of the people of the area.

Adekunbi, who was responding to a motion,under personal explanation, regarding issues affecting their constituents enjoined the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command, to always carry out their duties with decorum and modesty while securing lives and property.

Earlier, members representing Sagamu I and Yewa South State Constituencies respectively,  Adeyinka Mafe and Juliana Akintayo  complained about   the deplorable state of some federal roads between Sagamu –Ikorodu and Ilaro-Owode Yewa road which have been affecting the socio-economic well being of the people of the area.

On his part, the lawmaker representing Yewa North II State Constituency, Rasaq Oduntan requested for the intervention of the House on the incessant, but numerous road blocks mounted by policemen in his constituency.
