Diezani Allison-Madueke : arrest creates huge buzz on Twitter

The arrest of Diezani Alison Madueke, former Nigerian petroleum minister  zoomed to the first place on Twitter trends today, few minutes  after Premium Times broke the story.

Tweets of her arrest and the storming of her home in Abuja by EFCC operatives got many retweets of their own  and by 8.25pm, even without any hashtag, ‘Diezani’, sits pretty on number one trend subjects.

It was not for nothing that Nigerians are called the happiest people in the world, what with the many pictorially supported humorous posts by many Nigerians on the social platform.

By 8.25 pm there had been 702 posts on Diezani, and 4.5million impressions, according to keyhole.co, a real time tracking of tweets.
