Chief Olu Falae: freed

Chief Olu Falae, a former Secretary to Nigeria’s  Federal Government and one-time presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in 1999, has been freed by his abductors.

Falae, 77,  was kidnapped on Monday  near Akure, the Ondo State capital, by gunmen said to be Fulani herdsmen by the police.

The kidnappers  later  made a ransom demand of N100million, which they reduced to N90million.

Reports said  Falae was dropped  in Owo town by his abductors.

President Buhari on Wednesday ordered the Inspector General of Police to get Chief Falae freed.
