Ayodele Fayose: incurs the wrath of Buhari fans

Governor of the western Nigerian state of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, fell under a barrage of attacks today after he tweeted his love for President Muhammadu Buhari.

Since Buhari was sworn in on 29 May, Fayose has been his most vocal critic, to the extent that he is now almost wearing the toga of leader of opposition. The Ekiti governor was also the most vociferous adversary of Buhari in the run-up to the March 28 election, and infamously published an advertisement wishing Buhari dead.

But today in a suspicious tinge of sacrcasm he tweeted:

…one thing I want you all to realise today is this… I love PMB, people think I hate him but I don’t Democracy is founded on opposition..
