Olisa Metuh: pooh-poohs assets declaration by Buhari, Osinbajo

Against the run of public opinion, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the declaration of assets by President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a deceptive  window-dressing to hoodwink unsuspecting Nigerians.

The party recalled that the President in his own words had stated to Nigerians that, “I pledge to publicly declare my assets and liability and also encourage my political appointees to publicly declare their
assets and liability.”

The PDP, however, observed that President Buhari and his vice failed to produce copies of their declarations, detailing the exact nature and value of respective assets.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Friday said “the release of a mere list of belongings falls short of credibility, transparency and anti-corruption standards as well as exposes the proclivity of the present administration for deception.”

“We have noted the release of a flimsy list of belongings of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo by the Presidency, who want such to pass as the public declaration of assets as pledged by the President.

“Nigerians are not deceived by this poor attempt at window-dressing designed by the Presidency to hoodwink the unsuspecting populace in a desperate bid to shore up its diminished image.

“We ask, is the resort to a mere list, instead of true copies of the declaration not a ploy to give the Presidency a window for denial in consonance with their widely observed inclination for flip flopping, backtracking and brazen denials of their statements and actions?

Who are these vagabonds and roques who have no shame at all call PDP. I believe the likes of Metuh are just talking for talking sake. What did they do when GEJ refused to declare his assets. It is not too late, let PDP ask GEJ and Mama Peace to declare their asset before and after leaving Aso Rock. Babangida said before the elections that what people are talking about him being currupt is nothing when you compare it with Jonathan administration.
I have continued to say it, some tribes in this country can sleep with their mother or use the head of their father to make money. If anybody steals from government purse, they do not see anything bad in that. Let Metuh keep his mouth shot in shame if he has nothing to say instead of shouting in the market like a stupid lunatics.

Metuh/PDP and his/their Phantasmagoria (definition, a shifting series of phantasms, illusions, or deceptive appearances, as in a dream or as created by the imagination)….same one that made him to mistake what the last election was about, which was PDP vs People of Nigeria – and he kept painting Buhari & APC black, well Nigerians were and remain smarter than he can ever imagine.
