Wike orders pensioners paid three months arrears

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has ordered the Accountant General of the State to pay Pensioners the three months arrears owed them by the previous administration of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi

The governor, who gave the directive on Friday, said it was callous and insensitive to owe pensioners who have served the state creditably.

The Governor has promised to ensure regular payment of pensions.

Governor Wike had a week ago, cleared the two months’ salary arrears owed Civil Servants in the state.
