The Borno state Government on Sunday announced the dissolution of all boards of agencies in the state.

Alhaji Jidda Shuwa, the Secretary to the State Government, made the announcement in a statement in Maiduguri.

Shuwa said that the action followed the approval of Governor Kashim Shettima.

“Gov. Kashim Shettima has approved the dissolution of all boards of agencies in the state with immediate effect. The dissolution affects all chairmen and members of the constituted boards and Commissions, including other standing committees,” he said.

Shuwa, however, said that the dissolution did not affect the board of the state Local Government Service Commission, the state Civil Service Commission and the Pension Board.

He urged all chairmen of the affected boards to hand over to their Permanent
Secretaries while expressing appreciation for their service to the state
and wished them prosperous future endeavours.
