Rivers announces sanitation exercise on 27 June

Rivers state says its Sanitation exercise for June 2015, will hold on Saturday June 27 throughout the state.

Human and vehicular movements will be restricted from 7 a.m to 10a.m during the three hour exercise.

The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Felix Obuah appealed to all residents to fully participate by cleaning their environment, clearing their drains, bagging their wastes and dropping them at approved receptacles only

The Sole Administrator warned that anyone caught violating the restriction of movement order shall be arrested and charged before the Sanitation Court.

He appealed to companies, corporate organizations and individuals to donate their pay loaders, trucks and other equipments for easy evacuation of wastes on the Sanitation Day

All those on essential services or duties were advised to obtain permit from the office of the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, along Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt.
