Warri Wolves Football Club on Saturday crashed out of the 2015 CAF Confederation cup on a 4-3 goal aggregate to the visiting AC Leopard of Congo.

Nigeria’s only surviving club had won the match, played in Warri township stadium, 3-1 but their earlier 3-0 loss in the first leg saw them crashing out on the 4-3 goal aggregate.

The first half ended goal less as none of the sides was able to find the net of its opponent.

At the resumption of the second half, Warri Wolves hitman, Gbolaham Salami gave the fans something to cheer as he netted in the first goal in the 46th minute.

The visitors, however, equalised at the 56th minute after tormenting Wolves defence which resulted to Azubuike Egweke conceding an own-goal.

The unrelenting Salami increased the tally for host team in the 75th minute while Oghenekaro Etebo scored the third goal in the 87th minute.

Warri Wolves are the third Nigerian club to be stopped by the AC Leopards in the last four years in the Continental showpiece.

Heartland FC of Owerri and Kano Pillars had suffered similar fate in the hands of the Congolese side in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
