Murtala Nyako: visits Yola
The former Governor of Adamawa state, Murtala Nyako, on Saturday returned to Yola, the capital of the state, about a week after he returned to Nigeria after a 10-month self-imposed exile outside the country.

Since he returned to Abuja with the change of government last week, he has been facing interrogation at the EFCC office over allegations of fraud.

Nyako, who was welcomed by a large crowd at the Yola International Airport, arrived at about 11 a.m and drove in a convoy to the Specialist Hospital and Federal Medical Centre, Yola to console victims of June 4, bomb blast in Yola.

Addressing supporters who later besieged his residence, Nyako thanked them for the solidarity.

“I want to thank the people of Adamawa state for their contribution in voting PDP out of office.

“We need to support big brother Buhari, who will deliver,” Nyako said.

He said that he had been vindicated by what had happened since his removal from office and up to the formation of the new government.

Nyako was impeached on July 15, 2014 and was in the United Kingdom before returning home last week. (NAN)
