The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate for Kaduna Sate and former Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Minister, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for making Saturday governorship election in the state a success.
According to El-Rufai, this time INEC is, no doubt, better prepared than it did during the presidential election in the state, when INEC officials came late to polling units and the failure of card readers to function effectively in many polling units.
“I am impressed that the card reader is affective today and with the smooth accreditation exercise.” he stated speaking shortly after he was accredited at his Ungwar Sarki 024 polling unit.
El-Rufai expressed satisfaction about the peaceful and orderly manner the accreditation was being carried out in most of the areas in the state.
He however, said due to acceptability of the party in state and nationwide, he was hopeful that he would come out victorious.
