The youth wing of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union,SOKAPU has called on its members and the electorate from southern Kaduna area to come out en masse during the forthcoming Saturday’s governorship election in the state and vote the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Mallam Nasir El’Rufai .

The group said it was supporting the APC candidate because the People’s Democratic Party under the incumbent has failed the youth of area.

Addressing journalists after an emergency meeting held today at Narayi Development. Area , Kaduna , the Chairman Political Committee of SOKAPU Youth Wing, Joshua Gimba said the members of SOKAPU cannot afford to elect leaders that can’t defend their interests.

Gimba accused incumbent Goveror Mukhtar Yero of masterminding the systematic killings and attacks of youth , women and children of the area in the last two years. He also accused Yero of showing disregard for traditional rulers who are custodians of the culture and tradition of Southern Kaduna People .

“We expressed the fear that if Yero is voted back into office he might continue to be a stooge of the Vice President, Namadi Sambo.”, Gimba said.
