Buhari receives certificate of return from INEC

Nigeria’s president-elect, Maj. General Muhammadu Buhari has been presented with the certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The presentation ceremony was done in Abuja today, at a ceremony attended by INEC’s chairman, Professor Attahiru jega and national commissioners of the electoral agency.

‘we have done our best under all circumstances”,said Jega who came under verbal attack by the agent of the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.

The former university chancellor of Bayero University, explained the efforts of the commission to organise a free and fair election and restore the integrity of the electoral process and said the commission was elated about the outcome despite the challenges the commission faced.

The ceremony was attended by Buhari’s running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, governors and officials of the party.
