Kano State government said it had concluded arrangements for the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, today.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Kano Emirate Council, Alhaji Mailafia Sanka, disclosed this on Friday, in Kano, in an interview with NAN.
“The state government has made special arrangements for the grand occasion as prominent personalities from all walks of life are expected to grace the coronation,” Sanka said.
Already, he said, dignitaries from within and outside the country had started arriving for the occasion.
The state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso wrote on Twitter. “Coronation Of His Royal Highness, The Emir Of #Kano Alh Muhammadu Sanusi II: Saturday 7/2/2015 At The Coronation Hall Kano Government House.”
The governor noted that a special big screen have been provided for the viewers at Sani Abacha Indoor Stadium, Mahaha Sports Complex & Newly Gyadi-Gyadi Play Ground.
