A member of the Ogun House of Assembly, Joseph Adegbesan, has defected to the Labour Party, less than two months after he joined the Peoples Democratic Party, having dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The lawmaker representing Ijebu North 11 Constituency in the Ogun Assembly was among the five lawmakers who defected from the APC to PDP on Nov. 11, 2014. But almost all of them failed to clinch the PDP ticket.

“ I also want to let you know that more PDP lawmakers whose interests were not protected by the party will defect to other parties.

“As a politician, we need to do everything possible to bring the dividends of democracy to the door steps of our people.

“ I want to advise the people to be law abiding and shun any form of violence,” he said.
