Akinwunmi Ambode, the retired accountant general of Lagos State, is in the lead in the All Progressives Congress governorship primary in Lagos state.
With the counting of the ballots in the first two boxes completed, he was the clear leader.
A representative of the APC National Primaries Committe who moderated the conduct of the primaries, Dr. Peter Obadan said the conduct of the primary was free and fair.
Counting continues and the full result may not be known until early Friday morning.
Meanwhile, no fewer than 10 aspirants left the Onikan Stadium venue of the vote, even before the counting began. Only Senator Ganiyu Solomon and Ambode now remain at the venue. Please read the full story here:
