Nigerian business mogul, Aliko Dangote, is to address the first African Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights in Addis Ababa, on Wednesday Sept. 17.

The Forum had opened deliberations Tuesday, with series of side events and special sessions at the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

Leading voices of African governments, business and civil society, are to deliberate on how business can become a force for improving human rights in Africa.

The Directorate of Communication of the ECA said in a statement on Tuesday that Dangote, CEO and Chairman of the Dangote Group, will deliver a keynote speech at the formal opening.

The Forum is convened by the United Nations Working Group on Business and Human Rights, with the support of the African Union, UNECA, and the United Nations Human Rights Office
