Osogbo – The Rotary Club, Osogbo Metro, on Wednesday inaugurated the block of toilets it donated to students of Osogbo School for the Physically Challenged.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, the Deputy Governor of Osun, commended the club for the donation.

“It is really inspiring when a group of people come together to do something for the handicapped in the society. It is a realisation of the fact that they have reason to live.

“This facility will go a long way in making life easier for the handicapped children,” Laoye-Tomori said.

She commended the club for its selfless and tireless efforts in reaching out to people, even in remote areas.

Mr Ademola Akinromade, the President of the Osogbo metro Rotary Club, said the club was interested in promoting peace across the world.

Akinromade said the foundation of the building was laid in August 2013 as part of its 2013/2014 rotary year projects.

According to him, the club executes such projects “in the realisation of being happy through selfless service”.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deputy governor was made an honorary member of Osogbo metro of the Rotary Club.

Simbi Adediwura, a student of the school, expressed appreciation to the club for donating the facility, noting that it would promote hygiene in the school.
