Nembe City of Bayelsa remain bottom of the Nigeria Premier League following a 6-0 thrashing at Gombe United in the only NPL match played on Thursday.
The big win moved Gombe up four places to 12th position on the league table with 14 points from 11 matches while Nembe have just four points, already seven points off safety though with two games in hand.
Nembe have found life in the top flight difficult and remain without a win after nine matches played, to already make the club a favourite to get relegated at the end of the season.
The Bayelsa club will however seek a first league win when Taraba United visit their Omoku base this Sunday in one of three Nigeria Premier League matches to be played that day.
Other matches will see former champions Enyimba paying Bayelsa United a visit in while Sunshine Stars will host Giwa FC of Jos in Akure.
