Bosnia Herzegovina, one of Nigeria’s opponents in Group F at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil, has named their provisional squad to the tournament which kicks off in June.

Prominent among the list of 24 players named by Bosnia coach Safet Susic are Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic, Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, VfB Stuttgart striker Vedad Ibisevic and Bayer Leverkusen defender Emir Spahic.

Susic’s provisional list, which is subject to confirmation by world football governing body FIFA on May 16, must then be trimmed to a maximum of 23 players by June 2 – the deadline for all participating nations to submit their final squad list.

The Bosnia coach also tipped his side to make the Round of 16 at what would be the country’s first appearance at the World Cup, naming Argentina as clear favourites to finish top of the group that also has Iran in it.

Nigeria meanwhile is yet to release her provisional squad list, although national team coach Stephen Keshi has submitted a list to the Nigeria Football Federation.
