Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been voted this season’s PFA player of the Year while his teammates Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge were named alongside him in the PFA Team of the Year.

Suarez, who could however do nothing to prevent his team’s 2-0 loss in the hands of Chelsea on Sunday, has scored 30 goals so far this season and aid the Reds’ quest of a first league title in more than two decades.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard was meanwhile named PFA Young Player of the Year and was also named in the Team of the Year as were his Blues teammates Petr Cech and Gary Cahill.

Others named in the PFA Team of the Year are Yaya Toure and Vincent Kompany; both of Manchester City, Southampton duo Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana as well as Everton right back Seamus Coleman.
