In his bid to sustain and maintain peace and order across Kano state, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, on Thursday, held a special prayer for peace, order, and stability in Kano state.
The prayer session was part of the 2026 Police Day celebration.
The Kano Police boss sought the intervention of God as he prayed that men and officers of the Command will remain strong, patriotic, and undeterred towards ensuring peace and order across the state.
Mr. Bakori also prayed that God shall motivate the citizens to, at all times, cooperate with the police and sister security agencies, in their bid to fight crime and criminal activities, through divulging useful information that can help the police succeed in their constitutional responsibilities.
The prayer session, attended by officers and men of the Command, was aimed at seeking divine intervention for a peaceful and secure environment conducive to socio-economic development.
The Commissioner of Police reiterated the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, calling on the public to continue supporting the Police in maintaining law and order.
According to him, “the Kano State Police Command joins the nation in celebrating the National Police Day 2026, recognizing the sacrifices and dedication of Police officers and men across the country.”
However, the Commissioner of Police, shortly after the prayers, paid a condolence visit to His Highness, the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isah Umar (Autan Bawo), over the passing of his mother.
Mr. Bakori offered prayers for the departed soul, wishing her to rest in peace.
During the visit, Mr. Bakori expressed the sympathies of the Kano State Police Command and the entire Nigeria Police Force to the Emir and the royal family, praying that God grants them the strength to bear the loss.
