Blessing Aboy Chibuzor, the lady who married an autistic man named Aboy Chibuzor, at Omega Power Ministries, Port Harcourt, on March 29, has opened up on why he turned down the marriage proposals of many men before she finally settled for the mentally-challenged man.

According to the mother of three, who had once married but lost her husband in a car crash, she rejected several men who had earlier asked for her hand in marriage because she had made a vow to Jesus Christ that he would not defile her body until He gave her a husband. Blessing made this known during the church wedding.

“I am a very beautiful woman. People have been coming to me for marriage, but because I told Doctor Jesus, I will not defile my body till you give me my husband. If you do not give me, I will serve you. If you give me, I will serve you. It is a vow I made.

“And again, when that spirit told me, immediately I texted daddy. I also texted Mummy Welfare, and I told her, ‘Yes, I will be the one. I will pay that sacrifice. It is a sacrifice. It is a very big sacrifice. When I look at our Lord Jesus Christ, the sacrifice He paid on the cross of Calvary, nothing is too big for me to do the same for our Lord Jesus Christ.

“This guy, young man here, is a child of God and an adopted child of Daddy, our Daddy G.O. The spirit was just leading me, and I told Daddy I would do it. I will marry him, not only marry him, but I will take care of him as a son, as my king, as a husband, as a brother, because I know people will kick against it and say all manner of things, but I am after what the Lord Jesus sent me. I made a vow to God, any day I defīle this body, let Him not spare my life for two seconds…”  Blessing said.

Blessing also said she decided to marry Aboy after getting a nudge from God. “I wanted to sleep, and the spirit of God woke me up and said, ‘ My daughter, go and fulfil what I asked you to do. I was dragging, the spirit of God said, “Go. Blessing hails from Irrua in Edo State, while her mother is Kalabari.

Blessing also made the statement against the backdrop of the criticisms that greeted the wedding. Many believe she married Aboy Chibuzor because of the financial rewards she hoped to get if she married the autistic man.

A week before the wedding, Apostle Chibuzor had dangled a sumptuous offer, including monetary rewards he would give any lady who would agree to marry Aboy Chibuzor.

The juicy offer included the following: – ₦10 million wedding gift, a free house, and an overseas vacation for the couple. Additionally, Apostle Chibuzor promised a ₦20 million bonus after 10 years, provided Aboy is still alive, and the marriage remains intact. Church members also showed their support, with one donating one million naira and another contributing ₦200,000 to the newlyweds.

It would be recalled that Apostle Chibuzor adopted Aboy as his son after he had been abandoned years ago at the church gate. The clergyman said he decided to organize the wedding because of Aboy’s “uncontrollable sexual urge.”

“I can’t throw him out on the street.  So I have to start taking care of him all this time. But now he’s growing, he’s going to school, but his uncontrollable sexual urge is something that is a cause of worry,” Apostle Chibuzor maintained.
