
A prominent legal practitioner and Chairman of Technology Essentials Limited, Prince Adebowale Owolabi Olufeko, has thrown his hat into the ring to contest for the Stool of the Awujalẹ of Ijebuland.
Olufeko, a distinguished Arbitrator and Mediator, made the declaration at a gathering of the Jadoara Bubiade family in Ijebu Ode.
Prince Olufeko emphasized that his decision to contest for the Awujale stool was not driven by personal ambition but a deep sense of duty and service to the people of Ijebuland.
He cited his professional experience as a Legal Practitioner, Arbitrator, and Mediator, both locally and internationally, as preparation for the role.
He, however, declared that if even the opportunity to become the next Awujale, he will build on the legacy of the late Oba Sikiru Adetona and promote peace, security, and good governance.
He said he will leverage his networks to attract capital, industry, and innovation into Ijebuland through mentorship, education, and enterprise.
And reposition the Ojude Oba Festival to attract tourism, global partnerships, and sustainable cultural development.
He added that he would ensure good governance and progress for all Ijebus at home and abroad and make Ijebu State a beacon of pride and progress.
Prince Olufeko expressed gratitude to the late Awujale, Oba Sikiru Adetona, for his remarkable leadership and to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for his development initiatives across Ijebuland and Ogun State.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings on the governor’s leadership.
With his declaration, Prince Olufeko joins the race for the Awujale stool, seeking the support and prayers of the Ijebuland people.
