‎Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola has congratulated Comrade Akeem Abiodun Lasisi on his re-election as the Chairman of Ogun State chapter of the Trade Union Congress (TUC).

‎In a congratulatory statement personally signed by him, Ambassador Isola said “With great joy and admiration, I, extend my warmest congratulations to Comrade Akeem Abiodun Lasisi on your remarkable re-election today, Thursday, August 21, 2025, as the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Ogun State.

‎”Your renewed mandate is not only a personal triumph but also a clear testament to the confidence and trust that Ogun workers have in your purposeful and people-driven leadership.”

‎He added that ” As has been rightly said,“The strength of a union lies not in the numbers it commands, but in the unity it sustains and the courage of its leadership.”

‎”By overwhelmingly returning you to office, the workers of Ogun State have spoken with one voice, affirming the truth that:“Every poll victory is not just a count of ballots, but a resounding measure of trust, belief, and destiny entrusted to leadership.”

‎The Nigerian immediate past High Commissioner to the United Kingdom added that “This victory is a beacon of continuity, a triumph of unity, and a bold statement that labour remains the backbone of democracy and social justice. I am confident that under your second tenure, the TUC will soar to greater heights, advancing workers’ rights, fostering industrial harmony, and promoting the dignity of labour across Ogun State.

‎”On this historic day, I celebrate you, Comrade Chairman, and pray for renewed wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as you steer the affairs of the union in this new chapter.”
