Ushie Rita Uguamaye aka Raye is the corp member who stirred the hornet’s nest on Sunday, March 16, when she posted a video on TikTok, venting her frustrations over the hardship in Nigeria as she sobbed.

The video has not only gone viral making her an instant celebrity but also earned her a call as well a threat from an official of the National Youth Service Corps, who rebuked her, asking her to pull down the video.

No sooner had the NYSC official made the call than Raye posted another video raising an alarm over threats she had received? She has received support from Nigerians across the country.

.1. Raye hails from Ukambi community in Ojudu, Cross River State

2. She is 24 years old

3. She is currently serving as a corps member in Lagos State

4. She works as a virtual assistant

4. Her father  Mr. Raphael A. Ushie,  was a  Chief Inspector at the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS and  the younger brother of Governor Ayade’s physician, Dr. Vincent Ushie,

5. Her father, who was nearing retirement from the Nigeria Immigration Service had invested his lifetime savings in a palm plantation in his village, Ukambi.

6. Her father collapsed and died in 2019 after participating in a protest over the demolition of his palm plantation for the Obudu International Airport.

7. Raye’s father died at the  University of Calabar Teaching Hospital UCTH.

8. Raye was 19 when her father died
