The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Sen. Kashim Shettima GCON graced the wedding Fatiha of Faruk Saidu Alkali, (the son of the Hon. Minister of Transportation, Sen. Said A. Alkali) and his bride, Salaha Abdulaziz, Friday, 4 July 2025. The ceremony took place at the historic Sultan Bello Mosque, Kaduna.

Also at the wedding Fatiha, along with numerous dignitaries, were the Governors of Kaduna, Katsina and Gombe States, the former governor of Gombe state, Sen. Danjuma Goje, and the chairman of the Senate Committee on Land Transport Sen. Adamu Aliero. Other National Assembly members, the Director Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Transportation, Musa Ibrahim, among many, graced the occasion.
