Base Organisation Gets New Chairman, Aminu Majid

The Central One Base, a socio-cultural, multi-linguistic and development organisation, yesterday, in a colourful ceremony, at Sackville Street, in central Freetown, got a new Chairman, Aminu Majid.

The outgoing Chairman, Mohamed Sankoh did a marvellous job in promoting unity and development works, the hallmarks of the organisation.

The new Chairman, Majid, is a goal-getter and an amiable, people-centred personality.

He will bring in dynamism and sound work ethics into the organisation.

Base is headquartered in the heart of central Freetown, where all financial and educational activities are domiciled.

The Central Bank, all Commercial Banks, high stake commercial ventures, FourahBay College, IPAM, others, are also located in central Freetown.

Majid has a huge task ahead in navigating such a complex terrain, to promote unity among diversity, with people of mixed identities and rich cultural heritage
