The President Bola Tinubu’s administration is one that is laser-focused on issues of development and how to improve on the overall well-being of Nigerians.

As contained in a press statement signed by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, the focus of this government is on how to build stronger collaborations with sub-nationals and other critical stakeholders on matters that affect the lives of Nigerians.

President Tinubu, according to him, won an election and secured a national mandate from Nigerians and he will not surrender that to satisfy the palate of some psuedo activists and later day crusaders.

“President Tinubu is a listening leader and also a leader that strongly believes in the institutions of state.

On the Tax Reform Bills, the President was clear that anyone and groups that feel strongly about this matter now before the National Assembly should take advantage of the legislative process. Attempts to stampede or abort this process must be regarded as undemocratic and self serving.

The question to Governor Bala Mohammed by journalists is to know what he is doing to make life better for the people of Bauchi State. How well are the people of his state who still rank as most impoverished among Nigerians fairing under his leadership? How well has he as Governor used the increased resources at his disposal to improve the quality of life of his people. Just like President Tinubu has a duty to all Nigerians, Governor Bala has greater duty and responsibility to the people of his state. Constant blustering and playing irresponsible politics will not relieve him of his duty to the people of Bauchi State his leadership has impoverished.

Governor Bala should face governance and stop using President Tinubu to burnish is vanishing image.

President Tinubu is focused on revamping the economy and his is working to turn the economic fortunes of the country around. He has a four-year mandate to deliver on his promises. Nigerians have started to see the real impact of reforms of the Tinubu administration and better outcomes will continue to manifest in the lives of the citizens in the weeks and months ahead.

Governor Bala is playing Irresponsible Politics. Rather, he should occupy himself with dealing with the many problems of his state. Ambition is made of sterner stuff.”

Reply to Kauran Bauchi, Bala Muhammed, from Malam Ahmad Sajoh (former Commissioner of Media information Bauchi State)

He said: “Our governors are neither fair nor just to us here in Northern Nigeria. They seek to turn us into beggars, despite the fact that our region is the richest in the country.

Allah has blessed our region with abundant resources, yet our governors rely solely on federal allocations. We passed a time in this country when northern states used to supply the federal government, not receive from it. Yet now, they lament like beggars, claiming we can not survive in the North without federal allocations.

The governors are responsible for the hardships we face. They have destroyed our education sector to the point where we have more out-of-school children than any other region in the country.

The governors have also undermined our agricultural sector. They should have invested more in this area, but instead, they continue to blame the federal government for their poor service to the people.

They often hide behind insecurity to divert people’s resources and shift the blame to the federal government.

Our governors should understand that the economic policies our president is striving to improve aim to elevate the lives of our people to their highest potential.

The tax bill should not be feared; rather, we should see it as an opportunity to boost the northern economy.

May God bless Audu Bako. During his tenure as the governor of Kano State, he improved the state without blaming the federal government for any misfortunes or problems.

Why do we allow the northeast to remain in such a dilemma? Are the governors waiting for the president or presidential allocations?

Our governors need to come to their senses. They are making our southern brothers view us as beggars, leading them to believe we are dependent on them, which is a blatant lie. We have all the resources to feed the nation if only our governors would rise to the challenge.”
