Nasarawa APC Congratulates Newly-Elected PDP Chairman

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Nasarawa State, Dr Aliyu Bello, has congratulated his counterpart of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adamu Bako who was recently elected into office. Bello described his opponent’s emergence as a “well-deserved victory”. He welcomed him to “The vibrant political landscape of Nasarawa State.”

A statement signed by Douglas Otaru, publicity secretary of the APC in the State, said Bako’s emergence is critical in shaping politics and governance in Nasarawa State. “Your new leadership responsibility is pivotal in shaping the opposition’s voice and providing robust critiques of government policies where necessary. Your expertise and vision will undoubtedly contribute significantly to fostering good governance and ensuring the delivery of democratic dividends to the citizens of the State,” Otaru said.

The statement highlighted Bako’s pedigree, noting that it is hopeful that he will deploy his experience for the common good. It believed that the new PDP State Chairman’s skills will be “Invaluable in promoting the principles of good governance, entrenching popular participation in the political process and galvanising robust competitive partnership that will further arouse the consciousness of the ruling Party to doing its best for the overall wellbeing of the citizenry.”

The governing party said it believes that the new chairman of the opposition Party in the State will use his platform to provide alternative solutions to the issues confronting the State. It also called on the PDP to “continue to partner and support the people-driven policies of Governor Abdullahi Sule /APC-led administration.

The Party also thanked the outgoing Chairman of the PDP in the State, Hon. Francis Orogun, for their role in shaping political cooperation and harmonious competitiveness while he held sway.

The statement concluded with the call on the new chairman to tap into the PDP’s rich antecedents of upholding democratic ethos through citizen engagement and following the same.
