An Anglican Priest, Rev. Maxwell Onyia on Sunday in Enugu urged Nigerian Christians to be united in order to  arouse God’s divine manifestation for miracles.

Onyia made the call while delivering a sermon titled: “The Power of Holy Spirit” to mark the Holy Ghost Sunday at the Anglican Church of Ascension, Achara Layout in Enugu.

“There must be unity among Christians to attract the power of God’s Spirit, which brings freedom, upliftment and success.

“Without the presence of the Holy Spirit in Christians, they will remain strangers to God’s inheritance and the Kingdom of God,” he said.

The preacher further stated that the Holy Spirit `is the power of God that works for man to live a holy life and persevere to the end’’

“As humans, for us to do exploit and remain in God’s presence, we need the spirit of God in our lives, the spirit helps us to succeed in the good things we do,” he said.

Onyia said that the power of the spirit was essential in man’s mandate to make meaningful impact on others, adding, “ the Holy Spirit is of eternal value’’

I agree with every statement of faith made here by Rev. Oniya for Christian unity for miracles, most especially, “The preacher further stated that the Holy Spirit `is the power of God that works for man to live a holy life and persevere to the end’’.

I likewise believe that God works miracles to answer prayers of believers whose primary purpose in life is to unite with Jesus in two things:

    1. The holiness in Jesus given by God’s grace in His love equally to all believers, regardless of Christian faith group or denomination; and,
    2. The self-sacrificial love in Jesus given by God’s grace in His love equally for all believers, regardless of Christian faith group or denomination.

I thank God for the faith of faithful Anglican leaders who stand firm in agreement with all mutually loving and mutually forgiving believers of all Christian faith groups, because we are all united as one in the belief that Jesus said faith in His name for repentance and forgiveness of sins would always be taught everywhere. Praying with all of those who believe this is how we pray in the name of Jesus!

I pray knowing God blesses Rev. Onyia in showing God’s glory that we may all be one in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Joh 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
Joh 14:14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
Joh 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
Joh 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
Joh 16:24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
Joh 16:26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.
