CCT declares Onnoghen guilty, orders his removal as CJN

The Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT has convicted the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN Justice Walter Onnoghen on the six count charges of false declaration of assets he was arraigned on at the tribunal by the Federal Government.

While delivering judgment in the suit, Justice Danladi Umar, the chairman of CCT also ordered the sack of Onnoghen as the CJN and barred him from holding public office for 10 years.

He also ordered that the funds in the undeclared accounts of Onnoghen should be forfeited to the Federal Government.
