Governor Aminu Tambuwal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has narrowly won the Sokoto governorship election with total votes of 512,002.
Tambuwal defeated Ahmad Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 511,661 as the tally of the votes showed after collation of results scored by both candidates from the March 9 election and the supplementary poll conducted across some local governments of the state yesterday.
Tambuwal is set to be declared Sokoto governor – elect anytime from now.
