Rev. Vincent Fam of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Abeokuta, Ogun State has called for consistency in prayers among Christians for them to enjoy and be partakers of fulfilled life.
Fam made the call on Sunday in Kuje at a church service to mark the 60th birthday and retirement from the Federal Civil Service of Mr John Taiwo.
Taiwo is retiring as the Director of Animal Husbandry, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The cleric, a guest speaker at the event said the task of living a fulfilled life was not easy but added that prayers, commitment and perseverance were major keys to achieving fulfilled life.
“Churches are no longer praying enough and it is a major problem because, except you are prayerful, you don’t have to look for the devil’s problem before it will start fighting you.
“Prayers take hard work and commitment and so, should not be seen as child’s play because you must stop the devil before he stops you,” he said.
Fam called on Christians to dwell in the presence of God at all times as it brightens and empower children of God against enemies.
According to him, life is full of challenges but with personal relationship with God, your fulfillment is guaranteed because going to church does not make you a child of God.
He said hearing from God, having faith in Him and applying His words were major keys to having fulfillment in life.
In his remark, Taiwo dedicated the successful completion of his civil service to God adding that it was a privilege to have retired as a director.
He said the journey was not an easy one but added that with the presence of God, prayers and commitment, he was able to emerge victorious.
“Having attained the peak of being a director in my career and retiring at the age of 60 is by the grace of God.
“So, I encourage everyone, irrespective of position to build a legacy that people can consolidate upon.
“We must try to be dedicated, do what we are trained to do and ensure that we make a mark in our chosen career,” he said.
