Plateau United unveil Maikaba as new technical adviser

Plateau United FC of Jos, on Friday, unveiled Abdul Maikaba as their new Technical Adviser.
Pius Henwan, the General Manager of the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, said the management decided to bring him in order to fill the vacuum created by the departure of the former coach, Kennedy Boboye.
Henwan said that United hired Maikaba because management felt the former Akwa United coach possessed the ability to fulfil the ambition of the club.
The General Manager said that the target of the club in forthcoming season was to win the NPFL title.
He lauded the former Akwa United Coach for the successes he recorded with his former club by winning the 2017 Aiteo cup.
Henwan expressed optimism in the ability of the coach to deliver on the mandate given to him.
Maikaba in his speech expressed his delight to join an ambitious club like Plateau United.
He assured that he would do his best to return the club to winning ways according to the objectives set out by management of the club.
Maikaba commended management of the team for finding him worthy for the job and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by winning laurels for the club.
The former Wikki Tourists coach solicited the support of his technical crew and other stakeholders to enable him to succeed.
