A lawmaker hopeful on the ticket of All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Olufemi
Hunsu, says 40 per cent of his earning will be dedicated to welfare, education, health and youths empowerment.

Hunsu, aspiring to represent Badagry Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2019, spoke with the
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Badagry, Lagos.

According to him, if I am privileged to be elected, I will set a standard that will be parallel in Badagry political landscape.

“Education, health, welfare and youths empowerment will be my focus.

“I will make sure a foundation is put in place for the needy, among other things.

“I will contribute 40 per cent of my monthly salary into the foundation’s fund.

“The foundation will have board of trustees that will comprise people that are tested and trusted in the community.

“Somebody having issues on education, or if your sons or daughters gain admission into higher institutions and you need
assistance, you can get the fund through the foundation without seeing me.

“All issues concerning youths empowerment, hospital bills and welfare will be solved by the foundation,’’ he said.

Hunsu commended the APC members for successfully conducting the governorship primary in the state.

“I have faith in the APC primary, if I don’t have, I would not have thrown myself into the race.

“I am a party man and have confidence in the process,’’ he said.

NAN reports that the primary into the Lagos State House of Assembly will hold on Oct. 5.
