Ex Gov. Oshiomhole: Now, the only candidate for APC chairmanship contest

As expected, delegates at the ongoing National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress had, with a voice vote, affirmed Adams Oshiomhole as the new national chairman of the party.

Oshiomhole was the sole candidate for the position.

Oshiomhole was one of the candidates affirmed unopposed by delegates at the national convention of the party in Abuja on Saturday.

Chairman of the national convention committee, Governor Abubakar Badaru Mohammed of Jigawa State had mentioned the name of each of the unopposed candidates whose approval the to occupy the position they are contesting for were affirmed by the delegates with chorus of ‘Yes’.

The exercise was still going on as other contestants were ascending the podium to announce their withdrawal for different positions.
