Ogun state Police Community Relation Committee has call on organizations and philanthropy bodies to support security agencies in curbing crimes and criminality in the society.

The Chairman PCRC Alhaji Ibraheem Olaniyan in his remark at the state General meeting in officers mess in Abeokuta enjoined all members to remain committed to the service of the nation.

As he seize the opportunity to call on organizations and philanthropy bodies to continue to support the police for a better, peaceful and more secured society.

Olaniyan said the FSARS that Nigerians says should be scrapped are the ones making police work more easy in terms of criminal.

His words: “the FSARS some people are calling for their scrab are now the one that’s make us proud today in terms of security”

Alhaji Ibraheem also announced that PCRC in partnership with other organisations and communities have successfully completed and handed over Sagamu Area Command office named after the Ogun state Commissionwe of Police Ahmed iliyasu, vehicles have been refurbished and handed over to police authorities in Ota and other area commands for use.

Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police charged the community leaders not to relent and they should continue to support police in fighting criminal activities in the state.

DSP Ubah Adams the O/C for FSARS in Ogun state says “the call to scrap FSARS to him was just a baseless call in as much as they didn’t call to end Nigeria Police Force. With FSARS or not ,if we have the right people at the right time at the right position it will always get the right commissioner of police who put a very right strategy and that is why we’ve been able to achieve this.

Ubah then submitted that all what police need is information about what is happening as his men were being awarded the sum of N100,000 for their diligence to work.

Also at the meeting was the chairman for ACOMORAN Alhaji Samusideen Apelogun who in his remark said the award given to FRSATS officials is quiet motivating and it will motivate them to do more.

Also the best thing is for groups like theirs is to support security agencies because their people are being kidnapped mostly with the thought of hiring them as transport escorts to destinations. As well as they were being used to perpetrate evil.

Apelogun as well commended the Commissioner of Police for being diligent to the work which he is assigned to do and for not being tolerant to any form of crime in the state.
