PDP set to hold congresses in Kogi

The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in Kogi said on Tuesday that  its ward and local government congresses would  hold between  Oct. 14 and Oct. 17.

Mr Bode Ogunmola, the state Publicity Secretary of the party, made this public in a  statement released   in Lokoja.

The statement said the congresses are for the election of new ward and local government officers that would  take over from current  executives whose tenure expired in November  2016.

It  blamed the delay in holding the congresses on the leadership crisis that engulfed the party, adding that  this had  since been resolved by the Supreme Court.
