Popular U.S based Nigerian literary icon, Chimamanda Adiche on Monday denies writing articles in support of the ongoing agitations for the carving out of a part of the country into sovereign state of Biafra by some groups.
Adichie said in a Facebook post on Monday that she has never written any article to support the ongoing agitations for Biafra despite some write – ups attributed to her that have been circulating on the internet.
Adichie, posted a picture of one of such false write-ups on the Facebook post with the headline, ‘Enough of this Political Correctness, I am a Biafran and Nothing Else – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’
“This headline below, and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites: are false. They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me. I did not say or write those words,” the author said while denying authoring such articles.
