Cristiano Ronaldo:

Spanish Football Federation, (RFEF) on Monday slammed a five-match ban on Real Madrid’s star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

REEF placed the ban on the Portugese International for pushing the referee after being sent-off in Real Madrid’s 3-1 Spanish Super Cup win over Barcelona on Sunday night.

REFF said in a statement that the Real Madrid player received an automatic one-match ban for his dismissal, and an extra four games ban for his reaction as “a sign of his disapproval.”

With the ban, Ronaldo will miss the second leg of the Super Cup, as well as La Liga fixtures with Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia, Levante and Real Sociedad.

But it was learnt that Real Madrid may appeal the sanction with the hope to at least reduce the ban to four games.
