The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Gombe State Chapter, has advised medical doctors in the National Youth Service Corps, posted to the state, not to seek for redeployment to other states.

Dr Kefas Samu, Chairman of the chapter, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gombe on Tuesday.
He said it was good for the corps members concerned and the nation to accept their postings in good faith.

According to Samu, Gombe is like any other state in the country with all facilities for social life.
He said, “They are here for a purpose and that purpose is to serve Nigeria.

‘’Nigeria is a very big country with diversity in culture, language and religion.

‘But that should not be a barrier, so you can do your best during your service year.
“There is no need for redeployment, we have a lot of examples on those who served in the state and were absolved after their service,” he said.
