The National Assembly on Thursday resolve to invite President Mihammadu Buhari to brief lawmakers on the steps his administration is taking to tackle the economic challenges facing the nation.
This is with the Senate’s concurrence with a resolution passed by the House of Representatives earlier to invite President to address a joint Session of the National Assembly on his plans to get the country out of economic recession.
The lawmakers said briefing by the President will enable them take further legislative action which would help take the country of the recession.
The resolution of House Representatives was unanimously accepted when it was put to vote by Senate President Bukola Saraki during the plenary on Thursday.
