Niger Delta Avengers

The President general of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Engr. Udengs Eradiri, has blamed the Federal Government on the renewed militancy in the Niger Delta region due to neglect and marginalization.

Eradiri made this allegation in an interview with some journalists in Warri.

In his words “ When you pursue GEJ (Goodluck Ebelo Jonathan) supporters, cut NDDC , Amnesty and Niger Delta Ministry budgets also you cancel Maritime University , you have not shown love of fatherly disposition to Niger Deltans.”

He however frowned at the level of injustice that is silently taking place in Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Niger Delta in general since the coming of the present administration.

Eradiri described those that tried to infiltrate IYC as being greedy and poverty driven. He condemned them in strong terms, alleging that they where mounting pressure on him to share the money meant for the Boro Day celebration.

He however, expressed optimism on how the present situation the Ijaw people find themselves will be taken to some international media in other to draw global attention on the high powered injustice that is taking place in Gbaramatu Kingdom and the entire Ijaw Nation.

Udengs suggested that the Federal Government should start the Nigerian Maritime University which will actually provide a fertile ground for meaningful discussions.
