Adebayo Shittu

The Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu has declared his position as regards 2019 governorship election in Oyo State saying, “I will contest 2019 governorship election in Oyo State”.

Adebayo, in an interactive session with newsmen in Ibadan, said, “It is stated that there is a rumour that I will contest 2019 governorship election. It is not a rumour. The truth is that I will contest for the governorship of the state. Consistently, I have contested three times. Contest for governorship is a work in progress. At the appointed time, I will declare”.

Shittu also bared his mind on the creation of grazing land for cattle in Oyo State. He opined that it would amount to discrimination for any state government not to create grazing land for the cattle.

“This Hausa had lived a better part of their lives in Oyo State. They gave birth to their children here and gave Yoruba names to their children. By that reasoning, they are citizens of Oyo State. Anyone that is saying that there must not be grazing land must provide alternative”.
