Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari is being represented by vice-president Yemi Osinbajo today in Niamey, Niger, at the inauguration of President Mahamadou Issoufou.
Issoufou won a second term recently after the opposition boycotted the poll.
The Vice President returns to Nigeria today.
Buhari had in a congratulatory message to Issoufou apologised for his inability to attend the ceremony.
He is at present in Washington DC, where he attended the Nuclear Security Summit. President Buhari returns home tomorrow.
