Buratai leads officers to burial of murdered Col. Inusa

Colonel Samaila Inusa, the military officer found dead in Kaduna yesterday, after he was kidnapped on Saturday night was finally laid to rest today in Kaduna.

He was buried at the old Nigeria Defence Academy , NDA Muslim cemetery at 11.50am .

The members of his family , colleagues and top military officers, led by the chief of army staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai were at the burial site to pay last respect to the killed soldier.

Speaking to journalists after the killed soldier was buried , the Chief of Army , Tukur Yusuf Buratai said the death of Colonel Inusa was a big loss to the army .

According to Buratai , who was represented by Chief or Administration , Army Headquarters, Ado Abubakar, Inusa was not only a gentle and humble soldier , but was also committed and hardworking .

His younger brother , Mustapha Yunusa described Colonel Inusa’s death as unfortunate and regrettable .

” Although my brother was a soldier , he was a gentleman who could not hurt a fly . So, we can’t understand what led to his killing .

” But God Knows why they killed him, we leave everything to God to judge.”

Born 1972, Inusa, a Kano indigene joined the Nigerian Army in 992 as member of 44 regular combatant course and graduated in 1997 as 2nd lieutenant.

He was kidnapped 27th March ,2016 at Kamazo, near Kaduna Refinery junction ,Chikun local government area , Kaduna by unidentified gunmen .

There were suspicions that he was killed same day.

One thing that always amaze me about the press these days is the way reports are presented to the public without actually being properly verified first. Or is it that one press just try to copy from what the others say? Col. Inusa was kidnapped in his father in laws compound and in the presence of his wife (Grace), her father and mother, her cousin (Godwin-a private soldier), their house help and their kids (Woman, 7 and Lia, 5). Not on a high way or with the wife alone (I have got a prove but will wait for you people to do your work). Why can’t you with the collaboration of Military Intelligent and COAS and other media houses get the right information rather than relying on just the one cooked by the wife? I assure you that if you could get access to her accounts and that of her sister, Naomi, you will be supprized how much money they have deposited into their accounts. On the other hand, if you can get MTN to give you all the call Grace made a day before Inusas kidnap a day after you will get the real fact. Thanks as remain unknown.
